Sergio Cuevas was born and raised in Leavenworth, WA. Sergio began studying and performing piano at age six, with focus on classical music and solo performances. At age thirteen, Sergio started performing on guitar at local dances with rhythm and blues bands. In high school, Sergio’s main focus turned to the drum set. There he played in the big band jazz band, all the school combo jazz bands, pep band and local R and B bands, performing regularly. In 1999-2002, Sergio studied at Cornish College of the Arts and received a degree in jazz performance while also performing weekly in Seattle on the local jazz scene. After college, Sergio recorded and toured with reggae legend Clinton Fearon, touring nationally and internationally. In 2005, he moved back to Leavenworth where he continues to perform just about every night of the week. Sergio plays in many styles depending on where and who he is with, always continuing to serve the music.
